  rule 002.    wol or non-wol?
to avoid any confusion, all RP takes place in a non-wol timeline, or in AUs. consider gilenoux a former scion of the seventh dawn, a chef, and an occasional hunter in a non-wol setting. AUs are specific.

gilenoux himself is a more closed-off and guarded character, so don't expect warm reception immediately. there are ways to get him interested and talking, but these subjects are to be discovered naturally through roleplay. expect a more combative character at the start.  rule 006.    quality expectations
i don't expect writing like we're trying to be published, but i put a lot of love and attention into my writing and would love for that energy to be matched in responses. similar length and quality is expected, especially in discord/server RP.

no bigotry, no racism, no discrimination, no homophobia. do not expect to take the place of his primary or secondary partners (rhali and eji). gil is not open to new romantic relationships, but casualness is fine.
  rule 008.    speed
in-game RP moves pretty fast, but even then, i do tend to be pretty wordy in my writing, so grant me some patience if i'm taking time to reply. when it comes to discord/server RP, it can sometimes take days for me to respond.  rule 009.    IC is not OOC
Gilenoux is not me, nor am I him - we have overlaps in our personality because he's my OC, but we are not the same. I also don't RP with self-inserts. I'm fine being friends OOC but I'm not looking for more than that, thanks!  rule 010.    hookups and connections
gilenoux is a more promiscuous character, but if another character simply wants to hook up with him, he will not want to develop a romantic or platonic relationship with them afterwards. if you want your character to hook up with gil canonically, please expect them to not develop a relationship after said hook-up. if it starts as a friendship/rivalry and naturally segues into a sexual relationship in their storyline, that is different.

  PERSONALITY    Quiet, sharp, and prideful. Slow to open up. Can come across aloof and flippant, and is guarded towards total strangers. Irritable and snippy, but more refined than you'd expect. Hates to owe others things, so tries to fulfill his obligations, even if they are only perceived.

  APPEARANCE   Tall, pale Duskwight Elezen with long limbs and thin fingers, with medium-length ears that point upwards at the ends - looks average in terms of weight, very light muscle. Three prominent facial scars, right face tattoo, light freckling on his large, straight-bridged nose. Moles and freckling on large swaths of his body, particular moles on his face, ears, and neck. Quite pink wherever his skin is thin.

  biography   Gilenoux Gris Bleuvies was born the first son to his mother Docette and his father Bellamont, a young Duskwight couple living in Old Gridania. They moved to Gridania from Gelmorra when his mother was pregnant with him.Gilenoux has two siblings - a sister, Gwenolie Bleuives, four years younger than him, and a brother, Alderique Bleuives, three years younger than her. Despite being the eldest, Gilenoux was not very present in his siblings' lives.After being kicked out of his home in his 20s, Gilenoux wandered from city-state to city-state, until the fall of Dalamud. After which, he settled in Gridania in the archer's guild until Yda and Papalymo recruited him to the Scion's cause. Despite frequent grumbling, Gilenoux felt obligated to the Scions and was determined to fulfill that obligation.Gilenoux met Rhali through the Scions. From here, his story can take two paths - that of the Warrior of Light, and that of a Scion of the Seventh Dawn.

  EXTRA DETAILS    Gilenoux was attacked by his best friend, Augustaine, at a young age when his friend was possessed by a voidsent while the two of them were in an abandoned hut out in the Shroud. That same day, he was rescued by the Elementals of the forest. He's always been able to hear them ever since, but never been able to understand them, at least not completely.

rhali izo'to, a keeper of the moon miqo'te from ul'dah, and gilenoux's primary partner. he and gilenoux have been together for years now. rhali is a beacon of joy and light in gilenoux's life, and rhali was the first person gilenoux grew to fully trust after the series of traumatic events that happened to him in his youth. in their wol story, rhali is the other wol and another shard of their shared azem. in a non-wol setting, rhali is a fellow scion of the seventh dawn. in any universe, they will find each other.

  eji harju.    part time rival, part time lover
eji harju, a veena viera from the skatay range of dalmasca, and gilenoux's hunting rival. eji and gilenoux met when eji sniped one of gilenoux's hunting kills, and continued to meet that way, until gilenoux snapped. their confrontation turned physical, and the two of them started to ignore one another, until gilenoux found eji gored open and half-dead in the forest on one of his hunts. he nursed him back to health and found himself falling for the man, though he refused to admit such a thing until eji eventually pulled the confession out of him. they are taking their first steps together into this strange, fledgling romance of theirs.
